Project ASCEND distributes service project grants to student-led youth organizations, nonprofits and advocacy groups. To apply for a grant send a letter of inquiry to team@project-ascend.org.
Project ASCEND Grant Recipients
L3 Mentoring
Our first grant was awarded to the Lovely Ladies of Laurel Mentoring Program towards to the creation of a teen camp reaching over 100 low-income girls, in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. We have since awarded them over $2,500 in funding.
Laptop Grants
According to the Pew Research Center, 16% of U.S. households do not have home computers. In response, Project ASCEND began surprising low-income and undocumented students at High Point High School with brand new laptops to help them achieve their academic goals and dreams.
Giveback Nigeria
We awarded a grant to the Giveback NigeriaLibrary Programme. This nonprofit organization will use these funds to establish a library at Cole Orphanage, Benin City, in the South Western Edo State of Nigeria. This initiative will support youth between the ages of 5 – 18 years with books and training materials to become transformational leaders in their communities and society at large.
